On Saturday 7th November 2009, a new concept in food shopping opened in Uttoxeter. A regional food store combined with a deli, ‘Tastes of Staffordshire’ is located in "The Maltings Shopping Area" and offers an exciting range of local and regional foods to tempt your taste buds.

Knowing where food has come from is becoming increasingly important and at Tastes of Staffordshire customers are not only able to see exactly how many food miles have been travelled from producer to shelf, but also find information on each producer.

Penny Warrington of Tastes of Staffordshire says ‘We feel it is important to recognise the wealth of local and regional food on our doorsteps; through ‘Tastes of Staffordshire’ our customers are able to enjoy products not found in the supermarkets while supporting local producers and in turn, the local economy'.

Many local and regional food producers are recognised for taste and quality with many award winners in their field, Tastes of Staffordshire stocks a wide range of this award winning produce.

From within the county of Staffordshire and the wider ancient region of Mercia, you will find a wide range of cheeses, delicious cakes, jams, chutneys and pickles ; gourmet porridge and muesli and an exciting range of beverages, eggs and breads.

Due to popular demand, Gluten and Wheat free food products will now be held in stock from mid-December 2009.
