Burton Hospitals - Planning for the future
A major survey on services at Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been launched this week.
The survey aims to build a picture of what local people in East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire see as priority areas for developments in services at Queen's and will form the basis of the annual plan.
Chief Executive Helen Ashley said: "Our vision and purpose is to provide excellent community and secondary care health services close to and for local people.
"In order to serve the local population to best effect, we aspire to provide as broad a range of services as possible, in settings that are the most appropriate.
"This is done in response to local needs and in collaboration with patients, members and partners.
"We are asking our public members to help us by completing a short questionnaire outlining their views on possible future developments.
"Everyone's views are valued and when considering people's suggestions, it will be important to develop those ideas which benefit the majority of the people we serve."
The form can be found via the Trust's public website at www.burtonhospitals.nhs.uk and click on the link on the home page. The form can be completed and returned online or printed off and posted. The closing date for forms to be completed and returned is 11th February.
Members of the public who are not already a member of the Trust, but would like to offer their views, will first need to register as a member. For more information on free membership and to apply online please visit http://www.burtonhospitals.nhs.uk/foundationTrust/membership.asp.
Every year, Monitor, the body that regulates Foundation Trusts, requires all foundation trusts to submit an annual plan to comply with the Foundation Trust Compliance Framework. This annual plan provides information on the past year's performance and future plans.
The Trust's current plan is available to view on the website via the Corporate Information pages http://www.burtonhospitals.nhs.uk/corporate/busPlan.asp.
