Acoustic Festival of Britain / May Fest

The beginning of the festival season sees The Acoustic Festival of Britain, now re-named, May Fest, which is to held over the weekend of May 21st. - 23rd. at the picturesque Uttoxeter Racecourse.

May Fest is a 3 Day music festival with camping and an eclectic programme of Unplugged and Acoustic music from the genres of Folk, Roots, Celtic, Blues, Pop, Rock, Ska, Burlesque and much more.

A great family event, with 4 stages, Craft Stalls & Displays, Juggling Schools & Soccer Workshops, Yoga Classes, Morris Dancing, Story Telling & Comedy, Real Ale Beer Tent, & Exotic Foods.

We have booked / confirmed the very’in’ folk band of the day THE UNTHANKS for the Saturday
-they are former Mercury Award nominees now a 9 piece outfit fronted by the 2 Unthank girls, a great boost for us.

We are hoping to add  street bands and performances around the town, as a fringe to the festival.

Belly dancers and 2 troups of Morris Dancers are already added.

The inclusion of the Soccer coaching  is a great boost, with professional coaches from a major Championship side coming along for the 3 days.

The site will include Domes, Marquees and huge real ale tent, as well as the workshops and Yursts as pevious years.

Local tickets will be on sale soon in the  Uttoxeter music, at only £60 and children free it’s a great weekend  for Staffordshire families.
