Uttoxeter Online Magazine

To submit content for publication, writers must be registered users of the site. You will then be required to contact the editorial team by email to request permission to submit content for publication as an author.

Authors should bear in mind that Uttoxeter Online Magazine is a family website and is accessible to children; therefore any content deemed inappropriate by the site editor will not be published.

Children under the age of 16 are welcome to submit to any category; however, we must have the written permission of their parent or guardian prior to publishing.

Authors will be credited in full for content and will retain copyright. By submitting the content, authors allow Uttoxeter Online Magazine the right to publish the content on the Uttoxeter Online Magazine website and in any associated literature.

We are seeking feature article writers with expertise in all areas covered by the online magazine including home décor, cookery and heritage, from sharing recipes to writing an article on genealogy.

Articles must be well researched and authors must take responsibility to ensure that the articles are accurate. We are looking for articles to be around 1200 to 2500 words.

Budding authors are welcome to submit short stories to be considered for publication on the online magazine. Stories should be a maximum of 3000 words and a minimum of 1500 words. Suggested categories: Children's, Romance, Suspense etc.

There is no lower limit on the number of lines required for poetry submissions; however the maximum length of poems should be around 40 lines.

Image Sizes

Images to be included in articles should be no more that 360 x 360 pixels - ideally 180 x 180 pixels gives the best results in the flow of an article.
